Soon nearly every last one of the boys end up falling unconscious, with only Denki, Neito, Mashirao, Yuga, Nirengeki, Sen, Kosei, Manga, Jurota, Shihai Kuroiro, and Togaru Kamakiri being left. A looootttt of times I can't tell who's talking, which is very annoying. There'll be text bubbles with words, but beats me because I don't know who's sayin' em. A lot of times there'll be no indent or spoke of any kind to indicate who the hell the bubble belongs to. So. Annoying!!! Also there were different types of bubbles that are different types of dialogue, which was confusing until I figured it out.

The fights are short and simple. For a fighting shonen, it doesn’t do a very good job at exciting you with its battle choreography. The fans of the manga can claim all they want how the fighting doesn’t matter as much as the clash of morality behind the action. Every run of the mill action title can have both, yet MHA refuses to be half of what makes such stories fun to read.

Since the arc I've been working on lately in the main manga series is quite frankly way too serious in tone, getting more of these slice-of-life scenes is an absolute joy! Thank you as always, Yoshi Sensei! My Hero Academia volume 5 - Todoroki Shouto: Origin, aka that volume where, if you're anything like me, Todoroki has likely jumped from being an "eh" character to one of your favorites. Tokoyami vs. Bakugo… didn’t Tokoyami say that his ability was weakened in strong light? That makes Bakugo a rather terrible matchup, doesn’t it? ._. Internal thoughts are represented by floating bubble-less text and belong to the character in the panel in which the text first appears, and continues to belong to that character until the thought ends, even if the text is shown on top of another character.
